Swindon Wildcats 3 Basingstoke Bison 8
A big loss for the Cats
With mixed fortunes the previous weekend the next visitors to the Link Centre were the league new boys Basingstoke Bison.
The game saw the return of Waynes Fiddes who has been out with long term injury and the familiar face of Jurai Rusic who is filling the 4th import slot while Krajacek is out injured.
The 1st period got under way and it wasn't long before the visitors took a 1-0 lead. Swindon were unable to hit back and Basingstoke went into the break 1-0 up.
The 2nd period got off to a much better start with Swindon attacking the net and scoring 3 unanswered goals giving them a 3-1 lead.
The lead didn't last long with some sloppy defending the Bison hit back scoring 4 goals 2 of which were scored short handed.
The 3rd period was a one sided affair with Basingstoke scoring 3 goals and securing what was an easy 8-3 victory.
Swindon need to make changes in there defence over recent weeks its been disappointing and has cost the team a lot of goals.
With a midweek fixture against league leaders the MK Lightning much improvement is needed if they want to climb up the League Table.
